Care and preventative maintenance hints for Megafend products
All Megafend products are designed and engineered to provide years of
trouble-free performance. As with most all products used in an outdoor environment, some periodic preventative maintenance is required
to achieve maximum product life.
Fender Hooks and Specialty Hooks
• Megafend fender hook leathers are maintenance-free and should NEVER be oiled.
Damage to the finish will occur.
• Check exposed cap nuts on fender hook hardware (where used) for tightness once a month. Tighten securely as needed.
Removable Chafe Gear
Megafend ballistic nylon or fluffy sheep wool/skin removable chafe gear
does not require maintenance.
Solid-Core Fenders— DO NOT REMOVE COVER! When cleaning is needed:
1. Wet fender cover down. 2. Clean fender covers with a solution of mild soap and water,
scrubbing gently with a soft bristle brush. 3. Allow to dry.
