Retail products– Megafend has a selection of retail products available which cover the more generic mooring needs. The line consists of fender hooks with grommet for popular pipe rail sizes, a standard fender for yachts to 30-feet, and fluffy or ballistic nylon chafe gear to fit popular line sizes in commonly needed lengths. Each is available packaged in protective plastic sleeve with full-color printed topper for hanging display (see sampling below). The products feature the same prime-quality materials as are found in our custom line. Most are available in a choice of color.

Retail Packaging— the Megafend retail line of mooring products is packaged with attractive, full-color toppers fastened to clear poly bags with each product and pre-punched for easy hanging. Shown at right are front and back of "removable chafe gear" topper. The front contains a "product-in-use" photo and "check-offs" for particular item packaged. The rear contains descriptive text and UPC barcode symbol. A tri-fold brochure is also available (click here to view– 460K).

Megafend® removable fluffy chafe gear provides protection for those areas where the fender line or dock line can rub against paint or gelcoat. Each is designed for heavy use applications. They install easily and can be removed without having to rebraid the line end. Megafend fluffy chafe gear is constructed with quality sheep’s wool in a size that matches the line diameters readily used.

SS18B – Black sheep’s wool fluffy 45cm (18”) length for 12—16mm (1/2” or 5/8”) line. Note: black “fluffy” only recommended for use on black line.

SS18W – White sheep’s wool fluffy 45cm (18”) length for 12—16mm (1/2” or 5/8”) line.

Megafend® removable chafe gear wraps (shown at right) provide protection for dockline hawsers, line eyes, or where dock lines come in contact with rubrails. Megafend® cremovable hafe gear installs easily and aassure san aesthetically pleasing, tight uniform look.

Megafend® solid core fenders (shown at far right) are the perfect way to fend off damaging contact between your boat and docks, pilings or other boats while moored. Mega 30® solid core fenders are sized to protect smaller boats. Each has an outer covering of quality Sunbrella® marine fabric in black for an outstanding look while being performance engineered to withstand heavy use. Durable, high-quality pvc pipe runs through the fender’s center, easily permitting standard 16mm (5/8”) line to be inserted for suspending the fender. Mega 30 boat fenders may be used vertically or horizontally. Custom fabricated fender sizes are also available through your Megafend dealer.
